The Paint Mines are one of the most unique photoshoot locations close to the front range in Colorado for an engagement session. Located just 45 minutes east of Colorado Springs, this spot gives couples tons of location options, filled with beautiful colors, textures, and formations.
Julia and Clay live in Florida, got engaged on the coast of California, and decided to get their engagement photos done in Colorado during their vacation here this December. Julia found me in Instagram from my photos shared of a family shoot that I did at the Paint Mines this summer.
We arrived just before sunset, made the short 1.5 mile hike in and started shooting in the beautiful white rocks. Though the day was cold and windy, we had the Paint Mines park mostly to ourselves and were able to get some dreamy wide shots of the landscape and incredible rocks.
Julia and Clay are two of the most joyful people I have ever met and their love for life + each-other radiates from these photos at the paint mines. I loved spending the day, documenting this sweet season of their life, and am so excited for their future together.
