Dreamy winter wedding? Out-of-this-world views? This dreamy mountain destination wedding checked all the boxes.

Wild Basin Lodge, is located in the epic mountains of Allenspark, Colorado. As far as Colorado venues go, this place is on my favorites list now. Wild Basin Lodge is rustic and intimate–the perfect venue for adventurous couples, looking for an unconventional wedding.

Lauren and Tanner traveled from Texas for their wedding on October 10th. The surprise came the night before the wedding when a snowstorm hit, leaving the mountains covered in a layer of fluffy snow.

These two truly embraced the day. Lauren and Tanner had their ceremony in the beautiful field, overlooking steep mountains. They took their bridal pictures amongst tall aspen trees, covered in Fall leaves.

To prepare for the chilly temperatures, Lauren bought her bridesmaids (and herself) fluffy, white fur shawls. The couple also made sure their guests had plenty hot hand warmers for the outdoors ceremony. Everyone was indeed cold, but the discomfort was forgotten during the intimate ceremony.

The wedding day was truly magical. I am so thankful to have experienced the mountains of Colorado covered in snow. This mountain destination wedding was a one to remember.
